reduce the used storage by fdroid-classic

somehow more a feature request than a bug:
fdroid-classic eats up ~10 times the storage than the "new"/official fdroid-client. because this is unfortunate (especially for cheaper/smaller devices), it would be nice if the "behavior of using storage" can be backported.
